Why the price is changing: This is our first Feasibility Study price increase in 15 years. When we set the current price, clients received basic line drawings and rough cost estimates. Today, your study includes a floor plan, elevations, a digital 3D rendering, a more precise early budget estimate from our pricing team, and a proposal for construction drawings and engineering. The study has grown, and the price now reflects that.

The Best Way to Begin Planning Your Dream Dome Home

A Residential Feasibility Study is the first step in our design process for all Monolithic Dome Homes.

The feasibility study’s focus is on your Monolithic Dome home’s exterior shell: its height, shape, size, general layout, and floor plan. The goal is to visualize the dome home you love and see whether it fits your budget. Design time is capped at 30 hours, and most designs are finished within 20. Small details and minor shell adjustments can be finalized early in the construction drawings stage.

After you purchase the study, a dome designer is assigned to your project. You’ll start by sharing a “Word Picture,” a written description of your ideal home, along with any sketches, photos or floor plans you have gathered up that help illustrate what you want.

Working together by email, phone or Zoom, you’ll ultimately approve a floor plan, elevations and a digital 3D rendering. The final concept then goes to our pricing team, and you’ll receive an emailed report with your early budget estimate.

If you decide to move forward with us, the full cost of the Feasibility Study is credited toward your Construction Drawings and Engineering, making this first step essentially FREE.
