The Twin Dome home in Ocala, Florida, after new exterior coating.

Ben Erwin

The twin Monolithic Dome residence in Ocala, Florida, owned by Benjamin Erwin, was a fixer-upper when he purchased it in 2017. Erwin rebuilt the openings, stripped off the old stucco, and recoated the structure. The rejuvenated home has a nice, clean look to it.

The complete home is a simple design of a large, one-bedroom dome plus an attached garage dome. The garage is a 40-foot (12.2 m) diameter by 15-foot (4.6 m) tall Monolithic Dome with 1,250 square foot (116 m²) of shop and parking space. The main dome is a 50-foot (15.2 m) diameter dome with over 1,900 square feet (176 m²) of living space.
