When Hurricane Ivan tore through Pensacola in 2004, it destroyed a brick home on Bayou Grande along with 10 to 15 of its neighbors. The owner decided to rebuild their home on the same lot, only this time, they set out to build something that could stand strong in the storms. We first reported on this dome home’s story while it was being built. It has changed hands a few times since then, and now it’s on the market.
