Monolithic Dome Hangar Doors
The Monolithic Dome Hangar Door was developed at Monolithic as a method of creating large doors for a Monolithic Dome. Long sliding or folding doors found on airplane hangars don’t work well on a dome. The curved hangar door is a one-piece structure, shaped to fit just inside the Monolithic Dome, set on a curved track. The door slides around the inside of the dome allowing a large opening that maximizes the internal space.
