Maggie Chu is building a dome on the east coast of central Florida. She’s going to be hurricane ready in her ultra-energy-efficient dome home.

The airform inflated perfectly. This dome features some beautiful three-quarter circle extended augments over the front and back door and elliptically topped extended augments for the windows. I like these augments due to the protection that it provides, and they look great.

The construction went well. Due to the availability issues of ready mix, we opted to mix all the concrete for the project. The footing we mixed and poured in less than half a day, and the shotcrete was easily mixed with our Monolithic Concrete Mixer.

I look forward to seeing the interior when Maggie is all done.

Maggie Chu Turns on the Fans.

Maggie Chu turns on the fans that will inflate the Airform for her new Monolithic Dome home in Florida. For many Monolithic Dome home owners, turning on the fans to inflate their Airform is a pretty epic moment worth documenting.
