Red Fox Road Monolithic Dome Home

Exterior of the Red Fox Road Dome Home.

The Red Fox Road Dome Home is a multi-dome structure constructed from a single Monolithic Dome Airform with arched augments. It’s situated on 6 acres of land.

Red Fox Road Dome Home is a Monolithic Dome residence just south of the tiny town of Otterville, Missouri—population 454—just fifteen miles east of Sedalia. The home is a dual-dome structure with inset, arched augments for the doors and windows. The larger dome features a large, open kitchen and living room with two bedrooms and a bathroom. The smaller dome includes the main bedroom with bathroom, another bedroom, and a study.

The dome structure consists of a 40-foot (12.2 m) diameter Monolithic Dome merged with a saddle intersect to a 32-foot (9.75 m) dome. The Airform membrane formed the shape along with the augmented openings so the building is actually one structure that appears like two. There is a little over 2,000 square feet (190  m²) of living space.

The home was listed for sale in 2022.

Main great room wood floor and large augments.

Semi-circular windows atop the main entrance and large windows let in a lot of light for the main great room.
