The Oktibbeha County Emergency Management Agency is holding its first annual Oktibbeha County Disaster Preparedness Expo at the newly completed Oktibbeha County Community Safe Room. The expo is an opportunity to see a Monolithic Dome safe room as well as learn more about preparedness and the resources available to residents during an emergency. The National Weather Service in Jackson will be conducting a Skywarn (Storm Spotter) training, too.
The event is from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Monolithic Dome safe room on the intersection of Industrial Park Road and Lynn Lane in Starkville, Mississippi. Storm spotter training is from 6 to 8 p.m. It is free to the public and everyone is invited. To learn more head over to the Oktibbeha County Disaster Preparedness Expo web page.
